Joe Leszcynski introduced hockey into the recreation program in 1955 and was a charier member of the Superior Amateur Hockey Association with Bi II Boya. He has been active on a state level in the promotion of hockey, serving as president for five terms, and secretary-treasurer for nine years in the WAHA. He also serves as district di rector of AHAUS.
