Peter Milin, a native of Hibbing, Minnesota, played college hockey at both Marquette and Illinois. Following a semi-pro career, he became active in organizing hockey in the Milwaukee area. In the late 1970s, he spearheaded a drive by the Spooner Knights of Columbus to raise funds to purchase a Zamboni for the Spooner hockey rink.
