• Sparks, William - 1988

Sparks was a youth hockey coach from 1959-1973 and signed the note to purchase the Eagle River Sports Arena in 1964. He was a board member of the Eagle River Recreation Association from 1964 to 1976, being president in 1973- 1974 and was a Wisconsin Amateur Hockey Association board member from 1968 to present, being president from . 1980 to present.
 
Sparks, president of Head Waters Little League from 1969 to 1987, has been director of numerous youth hockey tournaments. He has also worked on both remodeling and installation of the artificial Ice plant at the Eagle River Sports Arena.
 
Sparks is a builder of hockey in the state of Wisconsin in every phase of the game. His long tenure as president of WAHA has produced large Increases in team registrations, referee's clinics, tournaments and general organization. His entire career in hockey has been to build from the bottom with a strong youth hockey base and everything else will fall into place
